Updated In January, 2021 - This guide is about the 2014 Pokerstars Milestone cash credit program. Milestone cash credits (MCC) are much like Stellar Rewards only they are exclusively for players who have achieved Supernova or Supernova Elite status. These two VIP levels differ from the other four. You have an entire year to earn the 100,000 Pokerstars VPP's to reach the Supernova VIP tier. The lower levels are based on how many VPPs you earn per month. The VPP Milestone cash credits offer players the possibility to earn up to $136,800 per calendar year. it is important to note that these are real money cash credits, not bonuses. You do not need to clear them and you can cash them out right away. I will cover the Poker Stars Milestone cash credits for Supernova players first. In 2010 players had to shell out 50,000 FPP's for each MCC. Poker Stars has dropped the price tag down to 1 FPP, just like the Stellar Rewards. As a Supernova player at Pokerstars in 2014 you can receive $23,200. There are seven different credits ranging from $2,600 to $4,200. The FPP cost for each of these Milestone cash credits is now only 1 FPP instead of 50,000. The image to the right is the Milestone cash credit schedule for 2014. To reach the Supernova level and receive the first $2,600 Milestone cash credit you will need to earn around 275 VPPs per day. That adds up to around 300 hands playing at a single table at a $3/6 table. You could easily achieve this by playing at 2-3 tables at once as many players do. If you play at the medium or high stakes tables it gets even easier.
To receive all eight Supernova Milestone cash credits you will need to average around 2,200 VPP's per day. Reaching 200k VPP's in a year isn't that hard even for small stakes players. Reaching 800k is obviously 4X harder but still do-able. You'll need to really love playing online poker though since you will need to play 20+ hours per week. If you make it this far though the benefits for finishing the race (SNE) get much better. This article on the fastest way to earn VPPs & FPPs should help.
As you can see the Milestone cash credits for Supernova Elite (SNE) players are considerably larger. The average cash credit for SN players is around $3,314 compared to around $12,622 for SNE players. Now that each credit only costs 1 FPP instead of the 50k they charged in 2010 you will save hundreds of tournaments of FPPs on these alone. There is a 250,000 VPP gap between these Milestone cash credits though.
In 2010 there was a 450,000 VPP gap between your last Supernova cash credit and the first Supernova Elite cash credit. Pokerstars has changed this for 2014 so now there is only a 200,000 VPP gab. Another cool upgrade is the amount of your first Milestone cash credit when you reach the Supernova Elite level. It used to be only $10,000. In 2014 they have doubled it so it is now $20,000! That's not a bad way to welcome you to SNE status!
There are 9 Milestone cash credits for Supernova Elite level players in 2014 at Pokerstars. These total up to $113,600 and require 3,000,000 VPPs if you want to claim all of them. I know plenty of Supernova Elite players but from what I understand they usually only get half way through these Milestone cash credits, if even that far. You won't find anything like the Poker Stars Milestone cash credits at any other online poker room. .
