Updated In June, 2013 - The Pokerstars Stellar Rewards program is unique in the world of online poker. This is only a small part of the 2013 Pokerstars VIP program but even by itself it packs a decent amount of value. The Stellar Rewards promotion is a series of VPP benchmarks and each come with a cash reward. The cost for each reward is only 1 FPP. In total the Stellar Rewards promo offers BronzeStar, SilverStar, GoldStar and PlatinumStar players with an easy $1,200 each year. It really doesn't matter which stakes you play at or how often you play. You will at least claim a few of these Stellar Rewards. These are very similar to the Milestone Cash Credits which are for Supernova and Supernova Elite players. The Milestone cash credits have a total combined value of around $136,800 per calendar year so that is all the incentive most players need to burn through the much smaller Stellar Rewards. These may be small compared to what SN and SNE players can receive but the Stellar rewards at Pokerstars are the perfect way for micro-smalll stakes players to supplement their bankrolls. Here are some more articles about the VIP program at Poker Stars:
I have posted the 2013 Pokerstars.com Stellar Rewards schedule above. As you can see the first five rewards are $10 each and are only 800 VPPs apart (on average). The next nine Stellar rewards are $50 each and will be rewarded at 5,000 VPP intervals. A GoldStar VIP level player will easily clear every $50 Stellar Reward in a year. The next five rewards are $100 each and are spaced 10,000 VPP's apart. If you maintain a PlatinumStar VIP level throughout the year you will clear all of these. In January of 2013 Pokerstars added a $200 Stellar Reward for players that reach 100,000 VPPs in a year. This is kind of like a "Welcome to Supernova status" message from Poker Stars. if you make it this far your next goal will be the first Supernova Milestone cash credit which is $2,600 and is available when you hit 200,000 VPP. Pokerstars has reduced the cost of Milestone cash credits from 50,000 FPP to 1 FPP, saving you 49,999 FPP's each!
Q. How do I buy a Stellar reward and how will I know when it is time to?
A. There is a "Stellar Reward Meter" built into the software at Poker Stars. You will also receive a pop-up when you have earned enough VPPs to claim your next Stellar Reward. To purchase one just go to Cashier > VIP Store > VIP Bonuses & Cash Rewards > VIP Stellar Rewards. You will see it there and it only costs 1 Pokerstars FPP!
Q. Is there a VPP requirement that I must satisfy before cashing out any Stellar Reward money?
A. Absolutely not. These are not bonuses that you will have to clear. Each Stellar Reward will be placed in your real money account and you can either cash it out or play with it.
