Updated In February, 2012 - Spending your Poker Stars FPP's at the 2012 Poker Stars VIP store is a lot like shopping at one of those mega malls. You can find virtually anything and if you want something they don't currently offer they will obtain it for you. Some of the things listed above like the Stellar Rewards and Milestone cash credits can be purchased in the store but I will give them their own section on this page because they are two of the most rewarding features of the Pokerstars VIP program. The list below is comprised of the different categories of merchandise available at the Poker Stars VIP Club store:
Accessories: Accessories in the VIP store are all custom made and have the Pokerstars logo on them. Items in this category usually range from 500-3,000 FPP's. Items range from Pokerstars hats to leather wallets. Other items in this category include laptop covers, mouse pads, laptop bags, coasters, customized Gel Skins for your: iPod, iPhone and Nintendo DSI. This category gets updated regularly so you will usually see something new every month.
Poker books: The books in the VIP store at Pokerstars are fairly cheap. There are around 40 poker strategy books with price tags ranging from 1,500 to 3,750 FPP's. The top seller is The Super System 2 Deluxe edition, commonly known as the "Bible of Poker". This book covers every major poker game and was written by Doyle Brunson. Their other books cover virtually every topic imaginable. These books can be worth their weight in gold if you carefully read them and follow the advice contained within. Any of these books can easily turn a mediocre poker player into a highly skilled winning player in a very short time. Knowledge is power as they say and poker is no exception. Many of these books are signed by the authors.
customizable products: Having the Pokerstars.com logo on something just isn't enough for everyone. Poker Stars offers a wide range of items that can be customized. The 41 gram .999% silver card protector to the left can be engraved with your name or whatever you wish. One side says Pokerstars and the other can say whatever you want (up to 7 letters). This item contains 1 Troy ounce and 11 grams of pure silver and it only costs 7,000 FPP's. Other customizable products include a wide range of T-shirt styles starting at only 1,500 FPP's.
Electronics: The electronics department of the Pokerstars VIP store is where I spend most of my FPPs. These products range is price from 4,.000 FPPs to 150,000 FPPs. You can purchase things like iPods, TV's, GPS systems, notebooks, lap tops, computers, computer monitors, Nintendo Wii's, Xbox 360's, Playstation 3's, PSP's, DVD players, alarm clocks, stereo systems and cameras. Every cool high-tech item you would find at a store like Best Buy is available at Pokerstars. In 2010, I had received a Wii, a touch screen GPS system, an iPod and a PSP.
Gadgets: The gadgets section in the VIP store is a mix of odds and ends. These items are some of the cheapest, price wise. They range from 500 FPP's to 1,500 FPP's. You can but Pokerstars flash drives, key chains and stress toys. I've gotten my baby girl plenty of teddy bears from here. She has a shark, bear and some sort of fish. Each has Pokerstars logo's on them. These make for inexpensive gifts that a bachelor could get for a lady friend. She'll think that you are some card hustler like Matt Damon from the movie Rounders.
Gift certificates: These make for excellent presents. Pokerstars offers gift cards to a wide range of stores and they come in an even wider range of values. They start out as small as $20 and go all the way up to $1,000. FPP prices vary from 1,850 to 64,000 FPPs. Many of these can be used online instantly.
Live tournament packages: These are quite expensive but they are worth every FPP. You can buy your way into virtually every major live poker tournament. This includes the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure, WSOP, EPT and more. Each package includes the buy-in for the tournament ($7,500-$15,000), hotel reservations, airline tickets and more. You can basically just go with the clothes on your back and everything else will be taken care of. These items have hefty price tags though. Currently, the cheapest live event package is 200,000 FPP's and the most expensive is 900,000. Read our fastest way to earn FPPs at Pokerstars guide to help save up enough points to play in one of these events.
Online poker tournament tickets: I've dropped quite a few FPP's purchasing Poker Stars tournament tickets from the VIP store. You can parlay your FPP's into hundreds of thousands of dollars. The lowest priced ticket is a 500 FPP Step 1 sitngo. The Steps sitngos and tournaments offer players on a budget a chance to win their way in to major events like one of the weekly $215 tournaments. You can buy into virtually every major tournament at Pokerstars. For instance, the Step 6 ticket costs 131,000 FPP's and will get you in one of the $2,100 buy-in WCOOP/SCOOP tournaments. My personal favorite is the Team PS Pro Sitngo. This ticket costs 15,000 FPPs and is for a 10 seat sitngo with a $2,000 prize pool (pays top 4). It is hosted by a member of Team Pokerstars and there is a $250 bounty on his/her head.
Poker accessories: This category is a "must see" for online poker players who also like to play at home or at brick and mortar casinos. They offer everything from single decks of Pokerstars cards to deluxe 600 piece poker chip sets that would make even your most well heeled poker buddies green with envy. They also offer card protectors, dealer buttons with timers and many other poker accessories. FPP prices range from 750 to 75,000. Pokerstars offers several different chip sets. Some are professional clay chips and others are kiln dried wooden chips.
This category has two sub-categories: security & special items. The security section focuses on "security tokens". These digital devices will change your Pokerstars password on a regular basis. This is cutting edge technology that will help ensure no one ever hacks into your account, all for the low price of a few thousand FPPs. The special items include concierge services which come loaded with personalized support features at a cost of 31,000 FPP's. The other special item is a Porsche Cayman S for 3,000,000 FPPs.
VIP bonuses and cash rewards: This section contains three different categories. Stellar Rewards, Milestone Cash Credits and VIP Reward Bonuses are what makes the Poker Stars VIP program the best in the industry. As of January 2012, the VIP Rewards bonuses will be instant cash credits instead of regular bonuses. Another important change is that Milestone Cash Credits ($2,600-$20,000) will only cost 1 FPP each instead of the 50,000 FPP's the used to charge. Stellar Rewards, Milestones and VIP Rewards range from $10 to $20,000 instant cash credits. The Stellar Rewards and Milestones have a total combined worth of $138,000 and the VIP Rewards can be bought as often as you want to the possibilities are endless. Since these three features are some of the main benefits that the VIP program at Pokerstars has to offer I have created a special guide for each. Please visit the pages below to learn more about each of these rewarding aspects of this loyalty program in 2012:
Clothing & miscellaneous: The Poker Stars VIP store features an entire line of clothing for men and women. Polo shirts, sports jerseys, sweaters, hoodies and jackets are just a few of the clothing items offered. These are high quality/high thread count shirts with stylish poker logos and symbols on them. They come in many different sizes and styles and are very affordable. You can buy a Pokerstars shirt for under 1,000 FPP's. The windbreakers, coats, shorts and other clothing accessories range from 2,000-3,000 FPPs.
